Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Flaksorama.
Getting Started
Do players need to download an app?+
No. Players join by entering a game token at flaksorama.com/play on any modern browser. Nothing to install, nothing to download.
How do I start a game?+
Purchase a package, create an event in your dashboard, display the game board on a big screen, and share the join token with your players. The whole setup takes a few minutes.
How many players can join?+
It depends on your package. Each package has a specific player slot limit. Check the pricing page for the exact numbers per package.
What devices do players need?+
Any smartphone or tablet with a modern browser works. Players use their own device to submit answers, while the host shows the game board on a shared screen like a TV or projector.
I bought a package for 11–20 players, can we play with fewer than 11?+
Yes, absolutely. The player limit on a package is a maximum, not a minimum. You can play with as few players as you like, though we recommend at least 4–5 for the game to really come alive.
Game Mechanics
How long does a typical game take?+
A full game usually takes 30–60 minutes, depending on the number of minigames and how many players are participating.
What are bonus, setback, and lottery effects?+
These are special events triggered during gameplay. Bonuses reward players on answer streaks, setbacks affect players who land on red tiles, and lotteries are triggered by chest tiles. Together they create chaos, upsets, and natural comebacks.
Can a player who falls behind still win?+
Absolutely, that's by design. Effects are specifically built to keep every player in the running until the very end. No lead is safe, and no one checks out early.
Pricing & Packages
What is included in a package?+
Each package includes a set of themed minigames and a defined number of player slots. See the pricing page for a full breakdown of each package.
Is there a free trial?+
Yes, the demo is free. You can run a short demo game for up to 5 players, with no payment and no card required. You get the whole flow; board, minigames, bonuses, setbacks and lottery tickets before you decide which pack fits your occasion.
How does purchasing work?+
Buy a package directly on the website. Your events are available in your dashboard immediately after purchase.
What is the difference between personal and business packages?+
Personal packages are designed for friend groups, families and informal gatherings – and for non-commercial use in teaching, clubs and voluntary organisations. A business package is required when a company or public body is behind the event, including internal ones such as team building, kick-offs and Christmas parties, and it comes with priority support. The licence applies per organiser, so if several people where you work each run their own event, each of them needs their own. Contact us if you want to buy game packs for several organisers at once.
What does priority support mean for business customers?+
Business customers get faster response times and dedicated follow-up if something isn't working as expected. We prioritize inquiries from business customers so you're not left waiting right before an important event.
Can our company pay by invoice?+
Checkout is by card (Stripe), and a receipt that works for expense claims and accounting lands in your inbox right away. If your company can only pay by invoice, contact us and we'll sort it out.
I'm a teacher, or I organise for a club or association – which package do I need?+
A personal package. It covers non-commercial use in teaching, clubs and voluntary organisations as well as private use. The licence follows you as the buyer and covers the events you run yourself, so if several teachers or volunteers each run their own, each of them needs their own. To buy several at once, contact us.
Technical
Which browsers are supported?+
Flaksorama works in all modern browsers — Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. No plugins or extensions required.
What happens if a player loses their connection?+
Players can rejoin using the same token. The game continues for everyone else, and the reconnected player picks up where they left off.
What languages does Flaksorama support?+
The website and dashboard are available in English and Norwegian (Bokmål), and you can switch at any time with the language picker in the menu. For a game itself you set the Game language toggle on the game card before you activate it, and the whole game then runs in that language – on the big screen and on the players' phones alike. To run the same pack in the other language, use Replay in your dashboard – it does not use up your licence.
